Publicity Academy Pittsburgh Workshop with Beth Caldwell and Michelle Wright

Publicity is a critical piece of any  marketing plan, and one that is often left to chance.  Most companies don’t need to hire a full time publicist, but every business should have a plan.  When you attend Publicity Academy, you’ll leave with a publicity plan and know exactly how to respond when you’re called on by media professionals.

During this high-energy and content-packed intensive workshop, you’ll learn:

  • How to create a complete publicity plan for your business, organization, product or cause
  • How to position yourself as a compelling interview candidate
  • How to write an attention getting press release
  • How to pitch your story to reporters, editors or producers
  • How to connect with reporters that you’ve never met
  • What to wear for an interview
  • When and how to use emotion during an interview
  • What to say and how to react when you don’t know the answer to an interview question
  • How to prepare for and respond to negative publicity
  • Strategies to automate your publicity plan
  • How to leverage media coverage to grow your business

This workshop is ideal for companies that want to enhance their marketing plan with publicity and media features. The content taught in this course is applicable to corporations, small businesses, entrepreneurs, non-profits and social causes.
